CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD:  This Vespa® contest (the “Contest”) begins at 9:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, August 1, 2024 EST and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Contest ELIGIBILITY Requirements:

• Purchase a Vespa® scooter between August 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024 from an authorized Vespa® dealer (must take delivery of the scooter by 11:59 p.m. EST December 31, 2024)
• Or enter online
• Possess a valid U.S. motorcycle license (unexpired and valid to ride Vespa® scooters in the U.S.)
• Possess valid passport and any other required travel documentation
• Ability to travel to Europe
• Must be at least 21 years of age to enter
• All guests must be at least 21 years of age
• Be a legal U.S. resident physically residing in one of the fifty (50) U.S. states or Washington, D.C. (proof of residency required)
• Comply with Contest Official Rules, set forth below

Contest Exclusions / Limitations:

• Dealers and dealers’ employees are not eligible to enter or win
• Employees of Piaggio Group Americas, Inc. and Piaggio & C. S.p.A and their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or those living in the same household (whether or not related) are not eligible to enter or win
• Program applies only to Vespa® scooters
• Transportation to and from airports and any parking fees excluded
• Transportation other than Vespa® scooter excluded
• Gas
• Food / drinks
• All purchases made in the duration of trip

WINNER SELECTION:  Winners will be chosen randomly by Sponsor. Please refer to the chart below for winner selection dates. Any Winner will be notified by Piaggio Group Americas Inc. Customer Care via a phone call and email communication.

OFFICIAL RULES — READ CAREFULLY

ENTRY INTO THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ENTRY INTO A CONTRACT WITH SPONSOR

Entry into this Contest constitutes Entrant’s (defined as an individual meeting the Contest’s eligibility requirements) full and unconditional agreement to comply with these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. 

In addition to complying with these Official Rules and the Contest eligibility requirements and conditions set forth above (which are incorporated herein), all Winners (defined as all eligible Entrants selected by Sponsor) and any guests must complete and return: (1) a Winner / Guest Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release that Sponsor will provide to Winner and any Winner’s guest at the appropriate time; and (2) any other liability releases that Sponsor in its sole discretion may require and any other documentation required by Sponsor.

All Contest Entrants must comply with the Contest eligibility requirements and conditions set forth above and these Official Rules to be eligible to participate in this Contest and to receive the benefits of the Contest. In the event any Winner and/or guest does not meet or comply with any such requirements or conditions, the Winner shall forfeit the contest and Piaggio may select another winner.

All Winners must be legally eligible to travel to Europe and, specifically, the Italian Republic and possess all documentation necessary for entry into the country (for example, and not by way of exclusion, a valid passport, travel visa or other necessary documentation). Piaggio is not responsible for obtaining any requisite documentation to enable contest winners and their guests to travel to and/or enter Italy, or to return to their home country, and is not responsible for any costs associated with obtaining such documentation. If, for any reason, a winner is unable to travel to Europe or Italy, the winner will forfeit the contest and Piaggio may select another winner.

Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Entrant, Winner and/or guest for any (or no) reason, including, but not limited to: failure to comply with the Official Rules; if charged with or convicted of a felony or misdemeanor; is not eligible based on the eligibility requirements set forth above; is delinquent on a government ordered payment, such as, but not limited to child support, spousal support, alimony, tax payments, etc. In the event it is determined that the Winner has not complied with these Official Rules, has failed to execute and return any required documents within the specified time period, has made false statements or a Contest notification is returned as undeliverable, then Winner (and any Winner’s guest) will be disqualified and at Sponsor’ sole discretion Sponsor may select another Winner.

If any Entrant or Winner (as the case may be): (i) cannot be contacted; (ii) does not respond within five (5) business days from the date the Sponsor first tries to notify him/her; and/or (iii) any Contest notification is returned as undeliverable, such Entrant or actual Winner (as the case may be) forfeits all rights to win the Contest and receive any Contest benefits, and Sponsor may select an alternate Contest winner. Upon contacting a potential winner and determining that he/she has met all eligibility requirements of the Contest, such individual will be declared a “Winner” of the Contest, subject to the Official Rules.

Winners and guests are responsible for payment of all federal, state and local taxes, including any applicable sales tax, incurred and/or chargeable to Winner and guest by any taxing authority as a result of receiving the benefits of this Contest. All federal, state and local laws and regulations, as applicable, apply to this Contest.  All Winners and guests are required to complete and submit to Sponsor an I.R.S. Form W-9 and any other tax forms as may be required by law.

A Winner is responsible for paying any costs and expenses not specified herein. By entering this Contest, the Winner agrees to maintain his/her behavior in accordance with all applicable laws and generally accepted social practices in connection with participation in the Contest or Contest-related activity. The Winner understands and agrees that Sponsor and Contest providers have the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify and remove the Winner and any guest from any Contest activity at any time if the Winner’s or guests behavior at any point is uncooperative, disruptive, may or does cause damage to person, property, or the reputation of Sponsor or otherwise violates Sponsor’s and/or Contest-provider’s policies, and in such a case, the Winner shall remain be solely responsible for all taxes and other expenses related to the Contest. All Contest details are at Sponsor’s discretion.

Winning constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use Winner’s name, images, hometown, likeness, prize won, and photograph (all at Sponsor’s discretion) for future advertising, publicity in any and all media now or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by applicable law.

Entrants, Winners and guests acknowledge that certain events are beyond the control of the Sponsor and may require the Contest to be rescheduled, modified or cancelled. In that event, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its discretion, to reschedule the Contest, entry and/or end dates, modify the entry procedures, cancel the Contest, or cancel the Contest trip.  

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Contest, the Entrant agrees that Sponsor, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, agents, retailers, advertising agencies, and all of their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees and assigns, members, representatives and agents (the “Sponsor Released Parties”), will have no liability whatsoever for, and will be held harmless by Entrant and Winner from any liability for any bodily injury, loss, cost or damages of any kind to persons, including death and property, damages sustained due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from: (1) entry into the Contest; (2) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any Contest benefit(s) or parts thereof; (3) participation in the Contest or participation in any Contest-related activity, including, but not limited to traveling to and from any Contest destination(s); or (4) any technical errors, printing errors, and any errors in the administration of the Contest. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage which occurs or is caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Contest or use or redemption of any Contest benefit.

BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, YOU HEREBY REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ARE FULLY FAMILIAR WITH THEIR CONTENTS. Winner may not transfer or assign the Contest, or any Contest benefit, to any third party. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules.
